The Oxford Uprising of 1970 is the subject of a new film to be released nationwide this month (Feb 2010), based on Tim Tyson's chronicle, "Blood Done in My Name." And on July 14, 2010, a diocesan-led youth pilgrimage to nearby civil rights sites in Willington, Durham, and Greensboro will also visit Oxford City Hall Auditorium to see a play based on that same event. Oxford Sundays got underway January 17 with a visit by the director of the Oxford Housing Authority, Mr. Xavier Wortham. Dr L. Lee Isley, CEO of the Granville Medical Center will visit Feb 21, 2010, then Judge Dan Finch on March 21. This series will continue on the third Sunday of each month, with a brief address to the congregation followed by prayer.

We have a balanced budget for 2010, and by God's grace we will be faithful in stewardship, both giving and spending, throughout the year!
Beginning on Ash Wednesday (February 17, 2010), we will introduce a new visitor-friendly worship folder, with all of the people's responses from the Book of Common Prayer shown, to help new people find their way through the service more easily.
